I specialize in insight-oriented therapy that focuses on coping skills, relational patterns, client strengths, and supportive reflection. My areas of expertise include relational problems, divorce, anxiety, depression, gifted adults/adolescents, trauma, sexual assault, abuse, and coping with chronic disease. I enjoy developing working relationships with my clients that allow them to explore their lives and develop new insights that lead to positive growth and change. I addition to my direct clinical work, I have supervised and trained clinical social workers and have taught as adjunct faculty at Loyola University Chicago and Oakland University. My teaching has focused on human behavior, psychosocial development, multicultural issues, and social/psychological theory. I have over 20 years of experience in individual psychotherapy. I have worked at the Center for Divorce Recovery and Jewish Child and Family Services in Chicago, Illinois. In Michigan, I previously worked at the Child and Family Solutions Center in Farmington Hills. I currently enjoy serving my clients through my independent private practice.
