I work with adults on issues such as anxiety, depression, attachment, disordered eating and body image. My approach is warm, collaborative and transparent. I’m happy to share why we do what we’re doing in therapy and explore what I can offer from my skillset that resonates with you. I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches to help folks embrace the present moment, connect to what’s going on in their bodies and work with their emotions. I also help clients explore the impact of trauma (big or small) on their current functioning and work towards feeling more regulated and self-compassionate. I’m trained in Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), which can help alter one’s relationship to negative beliefs and distressful memories. I’m also a Health at Every Size (HAES)-aligned therapist. HAES is a weight-neutral approach to care that recognizes the harm of the thin-centric model. While I am not a member of the LQBTQIA+ or BIPOC communities, I am dedicated to cultural competency education and understanding the dynamics of privilege and oppression in all their forms and the impact that has on one’s mental health.
