I am Katia Meredith, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with 9 years of clinical experience in a variety of settings, including outpatient, community mental health, inpatient and crisis counseling. My passion is supporting my clients in their journey to overcome depression, trauma, grief, and other stressful life events to achieve their individual goals. I have a passion for working with adults struggling with history of trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, or simply needing someone to listen and offer support with any life issue. In my practice, I use a client-centered approach with the goal of empowering my clients with confidence in themself. I believe that when seeking therapy, clients should expect to feel validated, supported, heard and understood. I invite my clients to lead the conversation by using open-ended questions, reflective listening, and Motivational Interviewing techniques. Previous clients have expressed that my voice is "very soothing" and that I "listen and guide like a true friend".
