Hello, I am Kathy! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Through my education and life experiences I have discovered a jewel I would like to share with you. I use the acronym "HOW" as my foundation for therapy and to live by. HOW stands for 'Honor Other's Worth' through their journey to healing and often to relearning how to 'Honor Ones Worth'. I value the worth and dignity of each client I work with. I believe that each individual has the potential for growth and positive changes and work collaboratively with client to achieve their goals. My therapeutic approach is grounded in person-centered philosophy that enhances the value of each individual's worth and unique journey in life. I believe every person has inherent strengths and resilience that can be harnessed to overcome anxiety, depression, and other life situations. I tailor my approach to meet the specific needs and preferences of every client, by integrating evidence-based techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness practices. I also incorporate elements of psychodynamic therapy, which explores how past experiences may be impacting present thoughts and behaviors.
