About

My approach with my clients is one of being relaxed and personable. I am methodical in pacing therapy with the client's own needs and coping skills. Clients are taught usable ways to deal with stress, intense emotions and disturbing thoughts. My goal is to help each client focus on living life to the fullest instead of going through the motions of living life. As a Christian counselor, I respect each individual's beliefs in God and salvation. I actively seek God's healing graces to guide me in my work to help my clients.

I use a Cognitive Behavioral style of counseling. In doing trauma work I use EMDR and/or EFT in a phase approach of symptom management, then trauma work and then resolution. Each year I challenge myself to learn more to be more effective with my clients.

I use EMDR, EFT and Affect Management to help clients overcome immobilizing traumas and emotions. I am very comfortable in addressing a client's spirituality and incorporating this into the therapy session. I am also trained to effectively work with clients with Dissociative Disorders and Complex PTSD.
