I am Katerra Davis. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist I enjoy working with teenagers and adults by helping them navigate their experiences in life. I predominantly work with teens and adults who are encountering difficulties with mood disorders, anxiety, depression and anger. I like to develop an understanding as to how the individual I am working with navigates and interacts with the people and environment that they live in. I also enjoy working with clients on understanding their perception along with how feelings and thoughts impact behaviors and outcomes. I tend to use Gestalt, CBT and DBT theoretical approaches. I try to be as genuine as possible when working with clients. I like to communicate using everyday language and do my best to avoid sounding clinical. I like for my clients to feel comfortable and heard and encourage them to communicate in a way that is natural to them. I do not want my clients to feel like they need to sensor themselves.
