I am an experienced psychologist who helps adolescents and adults overcome a variety of mental health and life challenges. I specialize in adolescent and adult survivors of abuse and trauma. This includes childhood abuse, sexual abuse/assault, complex PTSD, and medical trauma. Another specialty of mine is chronic pain and illness, including syndromes that are difficult to diagnose and treat. I also particularly enjoy working with folks in the LGBTQ+ community. Lastly, I provide psychological assessment for ADHD in adults, as well as IQ and personality/diagnostic testing. I primarily use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which focuses on experiencing the present moment and our own emotions without judgment, and with empathy. We then use these skills to take our own personal values as a guide for when and how to take action in our lives. For clients who have experienced trauma, I also employ EMDR. The relationship between therapist and client is incredibly important, because the relationship itself is healing, and allows the difficult work to be done. It is extremely important to me that you feel heard and cared for, and that our sessions are a safe space for you to bring your full self, wherever you are in your journey.
