Congratulations on taking the first step in changing your life! My name is Karlie and I have spent over 15 years working in the mental health field. I have worked in a variety of settings including residential, transitional, outpatient, and in-home. All of that to say that I have had experience working with a broad range and diverse populations of people. I have the most experience working with anxiety, depression, family conflicts, relationship conflicts, life transitions, and complex trauma/abuse. The process for getting help can be overwhelming and can feel frustrating and lonely. I find it important to work together using a person-centered, holistic, and multicultural approach. This means we start together where you are and find a treatment approach that fits your overall goals and needs while being aware and sensitive of your lifestyle. I would describe my style as open minded, nonjudgmental and supportive. Collaboration is important - together we can work on establishing goals and steps for you to help overcome your current concerns. For me, counseling is much like physical health in that it takes consistency, commitment and time. I look forward to helping you in any way I can!
