I have over 25 years of experience helping children, youth, adults, and families to find improved health and well-being. It has been my experience that individuals do the best they can with the information they have; at times, however, people seek new information or a new point of view. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, bipolar, trauma, PTSD, loss/grief, and attachment issues. I often create a "toolkit" in partnership with each individual. I have found these treatments to be the most helpful: EMDR therapy, Somatic Experiencing, mindfulness based stress reduction, and cognitive behavioral therapy. I collaborate with each individual to plan a course of treatment that fits them best. I have special interest in the mind-body connection; I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and Kripalu Yoga Teacher. I also have training in Trauma Sensitive yoga and the Amherst Writers and Artists program. Writing and expressive arts are welcome therapeutic resources in my practice.
