Do you... Worry too much but can't help it? Criticize yourself and guiltily believe you're not as good as other people think you are? Struggle with familiar patterns in relationships but can't seem to change? Feel inexplicably blocked from reaching your potential? Believe your problems have roots in the past but don't want to be like Woody Allen, on a therapist's couch, talking about it forever? Yearn for solutions but doubt that true relief is possible? Want to start feeling better ASAP but feel daunted about finding a therapist who will be a good 'fit' for you? I can help. In a safe and collaborative atmosphere, I integrate several modalities. Current brain research informs strategies I teach for managing anxiety. Talk therapy is useful but limited if it keeps us 'in our head'. Our gut and heart provide vital information so techniques are geared toward mind-body integration. I am an active therapist who listens intently, teaches self-soothing techniques, provides psycho-education, and gives homework. That said, I believe that the answers to your problems are largely, already within you and that my primary responsibility is to illuminate the path which will lead to your sought after fulfillment.
