About

Change can be difficult -- Allow me to help you succeed on your journey! Throughout my years of experience, I've found great joy and satisfaction in helping children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.I work with children treating for phobias, unhappiness, divorce, grief, separation issues, abuse, neglect, poor self-esteem, and problems adjusting to life transitions. I use a combination of play therapy, art therapy, and talk therapy, as appropriate per the child's developmental level.

Treating "difficult" teens is also one of my specialties. I treat youth experiencing challenges with depression, anxiety, abuse, substance use, and self-harm.I treat adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and relational difficulties, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, parenting issues, stress, separation/divorce and other life crisis situations.

My passion and unique specialty is animal-assisted therapy. A fully-trained and certified animal is directed by a mental health professional and this type of therapy may aid in increasing verbal interactions, increasing attention skills, developing leisure/recreation skills, increasing self-esteem, and reducing anxiety, depression, and loneliness.
