About

When life becomes hard, painful, stressful, or traumatic, as it sometimes will, a person needs both new tools and new support. I specialize in helping people heal from the past and thrive in the present. I have 15 years of experience working with individuals and couples to reduce their suffering and find their resilience when they have been experiencing PTSD, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and health struggles.

My experience and training have provided me with a number of tools to help individuals and couples meet their goals. I have a psychodynamic, relational orientation and practice empirically-supported treatments such as ACT, IPT, DBT, CBT-Insomnia, and EMDR.

I utilize a multicultural lens to better understand how identity issues, including race, age, or disability, may be affecting your life. We will work together to be curious about your current struggles and reduce your long-term suffering. For more information, please see my website www.kgopsychology.com
