Some reasons you might seek therapy with me include the following: if you are struggling with anxiety or depression; if you lack motivation or feel overwhelmed by stress; if you are having trouble in your romantic or social relationships; if you are grieving the loss of a loved one; if you are navigating challenging workplace relationships; or if you are having strong emotional responses you don't understand. I specialize in helping people with anxiety, depression, grief, relationship concerns, stressful life transitions, and trauma-related symptoms. A significant number of my clients grew up in families where there was addiction, mental illness, abuse, neglect, or family disruption. In addition, I often work with adults who were adopted as children. My background and training is in psychodynamic therapy, which involves weekly sessions. I have also pursued additional coursework in the study of complex trauma. My practice is a safe space to process topics related to identity, including racial and ethnic identities, gender identity, and concerns unique to the LGBTQIA+ community.
