Welcome! Thank you for stopping by my profile. My name is Kai and my expertise is the lived experiences of BIPOC folks and queer folks as I find joy in being a listening ear for those who have yet to be heard. You may be going through difficult life transitions and find it hard to feel connected to others; perhaps you received a diagnosis that is unfamiliar to you and you are unsure of what comes next; maybe you are thinking about your family or you are exploring your cultural identity, and it can be easy to feel disconnected even with friends around. Whatever the case may be, I would be honored to navigate this with you. My counseling approach is warm and non-judgemental, while encouraging and realistic. Using techniques from DBT and multicultural theories, we will explore your story while considering where there is room for growth. I hope to offer a space for healing and radical acceptance by meeting you where you're at and collaborating with you throughout the process. Bettering yourself is a conscious decision, and I applaud you for taking the first step! I believe that therapy can be a tool to empower yourself and to find your path. Finding the right therapist can be hard, and I invite you to reach out and schedule a meeting with me to see if I am a good fit.
