I serve clients who struggle with long term emotional distress or who have crisis issues in their lives. Clients motivated to understand the conscious and unconscious forces and meanings that shape their experience and their relationships are specially suited to the work I do. I work from the perspective of intersubjective psychoanalytic theory and object relations theory. I am an Accredited Practitioner in Mentalization Based Psychotherapy with Personality Disorders through the British Psychoanalytic Council. I am a Diplomate and Clinical Mental Health Specialist in Trauma Counseling with the American Mental Health Counseling Association. I am also Certified as a Group Psychotherapist through the International Board for the Certification of Group Psychotherapists. I encourage clients who are so suited to participate both in individual and group therapy in my practice, as I believe this provides greater leaverage for change and growth.
