When I meet new clients, I try to put myself in their shoes in order to gain a better sense of their needs. Therapy can feel like a daunting venture, especially when it is the first time reaching out for help. I want my clients to feel comfortable and understood in a safe and non-judgmental environment. Many of us can feel as if we are hitting barriers in our relationships, personal battles, and in the face of difficult life transitions. No one should feel as if their problem is unimportant, insignificant, or hopeless. I strive to demonstrate genuine compassion and empathy to help others begin a journey of healing. We would begin with assessment where I can listen to your story and gain a better picture of your current concern. Then, we would take the time to collaboratively set therapeutic goals in order to effectively measure progress. I also strongly emphasize my sense of cultural competency, which allows me to accommodate clients of different backgrounds. I am an independently Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I also have additional training in the Gottman method. If you are feeling 'stuck' and want to make changes, I would like to encourage you to reach out today and open the door to more positivity, guidance, and hope.
