I have recently accepted the position as clinical director for GRCS. In this capacity, I will be available as a consultant for other clinicians here, while also setting a clinical tone for the practice. On an individual basis, I see a wide variety of clients based on my experience in substance use treatment, outpatient therapy, corrections treatment, and trauma training. I have worked also with the severe and persistent mental health population. My stance is, “Tell me what you think the issue is, and we’ll find a way to address it.” I have a caadc, meaning I have certification to treat substance use disorders. I am certified in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (emdr), which is primarily used for trauma treatment, and has other applications as well. I create a comfortable and accessible atmosphere without judgment or pretension. We are two people (well, sometimes more for couple’s counseling) in a room talking about how to restore your life where you want it. I keep it simple. I will offer ways to address what is what you want to have different and you can pick your own adventure, so to speak.
