Engaging collaboratively with you, and your unique background of joys, wounds, circumstances, and aspirations, I draw on a of variety of forms of therapy to meet you where you are and foster the growth and change you desire. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, loss, grieving, relationship, family, parenting, co-parenting, health, sex, divorce, communication, domestic violence, financial, life transition issues and more. Combining compassion and directness, I weave psychoeducation into our work, believing it's helpful to understand what is happening in our mind and body as we cope with life's stressors, and how therapy helps. I've received trainings in trauma treatment, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, mindfulness, meditation, dream therapy and CBT. I've completed an expressive arts therapy emphasis and enjoy using sand tray therapy, expressive arts, mindfulness, guided imagery and dream therapy with clients who wish to use additional modes of exploration and expression. As a parent and a former high school teacher, I have extensive experience with teens and can offer parents insights into life with this age group. It is my hope that through our work together clients will gain the insights, and skills needed to live in the world in the way they wish.
