I work with individuals who have experienced relational trauma and dysfunctional family systems. These experiences can range from emotional neglect in childhood to domestic abuse in a relationship. Often, individuals with these experiences struggle with asking for what they want, sharing how they are feeling, and saying no. They may find themselves doing anything they can to escape the present moment, whether that be chronic busyness or binging your favorite TV show. They struggle with maintaining healthy relationships, either from attaching too quickly or not attaching at all. Sometimes, their relationship just doesn't feel right. I use a trauma-informed, somatic approach to help individuals move past previous traumas or hurts and feel safe in their own body again. I am trained in various trauma modalities, allowing me to truly meet clients where they are at and cater treatment to their specific goals. It is not 'what's wrong with you?' but 'what happened to you?'. I am here to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment to help make sense of your lived experiences to help you develop a greater understanding of yourself and move forward. I know it can be scary, but call, email, or even text me if you'd like to schedule a consultation.
