I firmly believe that change begins with you. Whatever the thing or event was that led you to seek out therapy, I want to first commend you for taking the first step. There are a variety of reasons someone might decide it's time to talk to a professional, including just wanting to have someone to talk to, and no reason is more valid than the other. Whether you are wanting to explore your past, learn effective communication skills, better manage your anxiety and/or depression, or if you're wanting to learn how to stay focused and complete tasks in a timely manner, I can help you with that. Our work together will take aspects from a variety of theoretical orientations including CBT, ACT, Mindfulness, and Supportive Therapy to best support your needs. You are the expert of your life and my role is to create a safe space to explore the different aspects that make you, "you". Cultural sensitivity/curiosity is also crucial to our work together. I know it can feel daunting to find the right fit in a therapist with the amount of options available but the hardest part - reaching out- is already complete.
