About

I understand that the decision to seek psychotherapy is usually not under the most desirable of circumstances and is a choice that not only takes willingness and courage, but requires a considerable time and resource commitment. While people engage in psychotherapy for help with various challenges, for it to be beneficial, I believe of precedence is the fit between therapist and client. This foundation allows us to explore vulnerabilities, process difficult emotions and experiences, and come up with creative solutions to problems together.

I strive to create strong relationships with clients based on trust, safety, collaboration and transparency. I have helped individuals/couples across the lifespan overcome a range of challenges in various settings including community mental health, public school system, college counseling, veteran affairs medical centers, and now, private practice.

With a specialty in behavioral sleep medicine, I also offer cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) for individuals suffering from sleep problems including but not limited to insomnia, over-reliance on sleep medications, nightmares, and obstructive sleep apnea.
