About

Hi there! I’m Julia, and I use she/they pronouns! I’m passionate about providing gender-affirming and trauma informed care to members of the queer community and to clients recovering from eating disorders, and specialize in the overlap that often exists between the two. I work with adolescents and adults and use a blend of therapeutic approaches to best fit each individual client’s needs and preferences.

I'm also a certified therapeutic game master, meaning I can use games like Dungeons & Dragons therapeutically, and generally love bringing your interests and hobbies into sessions. Therapy is more effective when you're engaged and comfortable, and I believe there's strong therapeutic value in sharing the things you enjoy with someone you trust.

Therapy can be a challenging process, and one of the most difficult steps is taking the initiative to contact a counselor (and look, you’re already nearly there!) This is because once you meet with a therapist, you have someone walking through the healing process with you; you don’t have to do it alone anymore, and I’m happy to accompany you on this journey.
