About

Welcome! My name is Julia, and I am a licensed mental health counselor in Massachusetts. My areas of expertise include issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community (including coming out, self-acceptance, navigating dynamics with loved ones, exploration of sexuality and gender identity, and accessing gender affirming care), life transitions, anxiety, and improving relationships and boundaries. I work mostly with adults in their 20s and enjoy helping my clients navigate early adulthood and the specific issues that tend to feel overwhelming at this time in our lives.

My approach to counseling is to combine talk therapy (offering space for you to process difficult parts of your history or present circumstances) and skill building/implementation of self-care habits. I believe in goal-oriented therapy; we will periodically check in about your progress in therapy, as well as any adjustments to your goals you'd like to make.

Thank you for taking the first steps toward taking control of your mental health; learning more about yourself and your inner world, learning coping skills and creating a self-care routine, and increasing compassion for yourself and others along the way. You deserve to be proud for seeking therapy and making this commitment to yourself and your health!
