I have been in practice for 20 years. I do not "fit" my clients into a particular therapy. I use what treatment helps each of my clients. The therapy sessions belong to my clients, not to me. My clients know themselves better than I or anyone else wil know them. My "job" is to help my clients learn to help themselves and apply what they have gained in therapy to the rest of their lives. I usually see my clients in my office. Because of COVID-19 the office is closed. I am a Board Certified Tele-Mental Health provider. I counsel clients on the telephone and on video conferencing. The only difference between this type of therapy and regular "in office" therapy is that my clients and myself are not sitting in the same room. COVID-19 has affected everyone. This disease has stirred up and heightened stress, anxiety, and depression. It has isolated us from family and friends. It has caused problems with our children, problems in our marriages, our relationships, and our spirituality. We are trying to deal with restrictions that are frightening, uncertain, and unusual for us.
