As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I’ve worked with couples, families, children and adolescents, and groups. While I help my clients address the issue(s) they present when coming into therapy, I also help them learn new skills and ways of interacting with their environment that will help them resolve, and even avoid problem situations in their future. I’ve worked with a wide variety of presenting issues, most frequently involving trauma, anxiety, fear, depression and suicidal ideations, communication problems and difficult relationships, and parenting problems. I don’t practice from a single theory, but consider presenting needs in my interventions. I tend to use solution focus to identify what to work on, motivational interviewing to identify/discover the client's role in a situation, and cognitive behavioral techniques to learn new ways to handle situations. I prefer EMDR for trauma, anxiety, and depression. I absolutely love being a therapist! I feel like I was born for this job. What is most important for me is that everyone who is seen in my practice feels understood and respected, and that they see me as a partner on their journey to living an authentic life. I would love to have the opportunity to work with you in this way!
