Kate Braestrup says it best: "I'm not here to keep you from freaking out. I'm here to be with you while you freak out, or grieve or laugh or suffer or sing. It is a ministry of presence. It is showing up with a loving heart." I truly believe that everyone could benefit from psychotherapy at some point in their lives -- we all need support. Taking the step towards seeking help of any kind can sometimes be difficult. I consider it a privilege to be chosen to walk out life's challenges with you. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who is gentle and collaborative in my approach drawing from evidenced based treatment models such as Humanistic/Client-centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, etc. I am also intensively trained in EMDR. Keep in mind that our work together will be customized to fit your needs. I work with individuals, couples, and families dealing with a variety of issues. My specialties include issues with communication, family transitions including divorce, trauma, depression, anxiety and disordered eating/eating disorders. I also do parenting consultations and behavior modification treatment for children and adolescent (ages 4+).
