About

I primarily work with teens and young adults, ages 14-25. I have profound compassion for the challenges presented by this time of life and the concurrent challenges for families. I can see wisdom, potential and ingenuity where young adults and their families may only see obstacles, faults or blame, and my goal is to help clients find that same trust in themselves. I help my clients access and bring forth the qualities they need to achieve their goals, whether that is addressing anxiety, emerging from depression, or exploring things that seem to be blocking forward movement in school, work, relationships, and creativity.

All of our struggles have arisen for good reason. Though we may experience an enormous amount of self-judgment, the road to healing is a road of connecting to ourselves and finding acceptance. I support this journey by listening to my client and following their wisdom – trusting that the person I’m working with has innate knowledge and an ability to heal.

I worked in youth development and the arts for 20 years before becoming a social worker. My approach is informed by my dedication to racial and social justice and draws upon my experience as a gymnast, dancer, and yoga practitioner/teacher to bring the wisdom of the body into the therapeutic experience. I encourage you to explore my website to learn more.
