About

I am a licensed clinical professional counselor who specializes in working with individuals struggling with eating disorders, OCD, PTSD, anxiety disorders, and depression. While I tailor my specific approach to each individual client, I primarily use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and exposure and response prevention (ERP). For the treatment of depression, I also use behavioral activation to help clients decrease avoidance in their lives and begin to engage in activities that will help improve their mood.

I have received extensive training in prolonged exposure (PE), which is an evidenced-based treatment for PTSD. In this treatment I help clients limit avoidance behaviors and become less fearful and more confident. I will also help clients emotionally process the traumatic event(s) to effectively put the trauma in the past and regain control over their lives.

I work with clients from the very beginning to identify their values in life and collaboratively develop goals that are in line with those values. My goal is to help clients to help themselves. With empathy and a nonjudgmental stance, I challenge clients to make meaningful changes in their lives.
