Therapists » Clinical Social Work/Therapist
Welcome! I know that looking for a therapist can be overwhelming, but I hope to be a slightly different kind of therapist for you. I value this work and take it seriously, which from my orientation requires that I bring my genuine, authentic self to the room with you. This often means utilizing humor, creativity, and warmth. I enjoy working with people from all walks of life, but specialize in working with members of the LGBTQ+ community. I specialize in individual and couples therapy, and am experienced working with anxiety, depression, trauma, identity issues, life transitions, chronic illness, and substance use. I have an MSW from UGA, and have also completed training as an RYT-certified yoga teacher. Prior to receiving my MSW, my background was in the entertainment and aviation industries. I therefore understand the complexities that arise from both of them, and love working with creatives (actors, musicians, etc.) and aviation professionals (FAs, pilots, etc.) My goal is to compassionately assist individuals and couples on their journeys toward authenticity, self-awareness, and empowerment through a relational, mindfulness-based approach that embraces diverse identities/experiences and fosters resilience and holistic well-being. Please reach out if you're curious if we'd be a good fit. I'd love to hear from you!
