I specialize in helping clients heal from trauma and dissociative conditions. I often see clients who have found that prior therapy did not go deep enough or that they can talk about their issues but remain stuck in the same unhealthy patterns. I help clients get beneath words and to transform the deeper feelings and emotions that are driving such patterns. I also have considerable experience working with loss, chronic illness, depression and anxiety, career and relationship transitions, questions of identity/purpose, relationship conflict, and navigating academic and creative work. I see therapy as a process of coming to know who we are in our totality, what we value, and how we can live in tune with that. As a sensorimotor and psychodynamic therapist, I blend conversation and mindful attunement to deeper feelings and emotions, in order to integrate traumatic experiences and widen the circle of feeling and awareness. Therapy is not for everyone all of the time. Sometimes we just need to live. But sometimes we find ourselves stuck or are carrying wounds that need to be clearly seen and held in order to heal. I work with you to create a relational space where that can happen and where you can begin to engage with aspects of yourself that may already sense the way forward.
