Counseling can be daunting for some, especially when your child is involved. What’s my first step? How do I choose the right counselor for myself, my child, or my family? I graduated from Walden University with a Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I incorporate CBT, play therapy interventions, expressive arts, and integrative therapeutic orientations. I don't hav an ideal client because every single client is different. What works for one client won't work for every client. I am able to work closely with you and your child to make sure everyone feels involved and heard in the therapeutic relationship. I have a unique experience in working with children & adolescents who have ADHD, ASD, and other behavioral issues. I work primarily with children, teens, and families. I am also currently in the process of becoming credientaled as a registered play therapist. Childhood and adolescence - we’ve all been there. Sometimes we can forget what it is like. Children, adolescents, and even young adults can struggle to fit in and find their place in the world. Talking with a trained mental health professional in a judgement-free, non-biased environment can go a long way in helping your family heal.
