I have been working in recovery for seven years and have seen a wide range of issues related to addiction. Addiction in itself can be a traumatic event as it causes us to go against our morals. Addiction often contributes to shame and can produce anger, anxiety, depression and other struggles. I have created individualized treatment plans for every issue my clients have presented with as related to addiction. Each client has a different set of needs and goals so I take a person-centered approach to best serve. It's important to identify our strengths and capitalize on these rather than only focusing on the problem. I specialize in working with people wishing to transition from active addiction to active recovery and those already in recovery looking to grow & expand self-awareness. I am a certified addiction counselor. I am a brainspotting practitioner who addresses adverse life experiences. I am a certified experiential specialist. I am an anger resolution specialist. Addiction is a disease that often pushes us to go against our morals, this causes uncomfortable emotional states that we tend to want to avoid discussing.To begin healing we must feel these emotions and to feel the emotions we need someone to process them with. I have personally experienced the darkness of addiction and strive to help people see their light!
