My aim is to assist you toward effective and functional self-understanding so that you might pursue and achieve the life goals of which you, as a unique person, are most worthy. Harry Truman had on his desk, whatever job he held, these 10 words: "Know right from wrong. Do right. Do your best." I shall always use these words in your service. Certificate from Boston University in cognitive behavioral therapy. Intermediate skills in clinical hypnosis and working toward advanced level skills. Specialty in mood, anxiety (especial panic) and substance use disorders. Once held license as a Chemical Dependency Professional. Trained to use hypnosis for management of physical pain as well. Personal experience with major depression and alcohol abuse. Depression well managed after electro-convulsive treatments, talk therapy and medications. Recently completed a36-session treatment using Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation. Excellent results for me. Sobriety for decades. I know the journey. My own journey gives me compassion for yours.
