Hi, I am John Morrell. My counseling focus is with adults who want to work on a wide variety of problems some of these include depression, anxiety, insomnia and sleep disorders, attention problems, anger management and pain management. When I work with clients I seek to provide the support and direction they need to identify their goals. Then we work together to discover and change core beliefs, thinking, behavior and emotions so they can accomplish their life goals. I also talk with clients about their spiritual lives, as they have an interest how faith relates to healthy living. I have training in Christian counseling, systematic and biblical theology. I began my work as a psychologist in 1998 after completing my doctorate in psychology at TWU in Denton, Texas. The primary areas of my training have been in counseling psychology, family psychology and health psychology. In addition to private practice work, I have worked with the Wisconsin Division of Probation and Parole for 22 years providing consulting psychological services, psychological assessment and counseling and psychotherapy services.
