About

Choosing a therapist who fits your specific needs, values, and methods for change can be challenging. There needs to be a comfort level and fit that will foster a positive and effective working relationship. The therapist's education, experience, competency, and certification are essential to promoting positive outcomes. I have been working with women, men, couples, and families for 26+ years and have learned much from clients regarding their concerns, hopes, dreams, and change methods. My approach is trauma-informed, Collaborative, Strengths-Based, and Solution-Focused.

My specialty areas include alcohol and other substance use, abuse, and other addictions or compulsivity. Trauma, depression, and anxiety are problems that may be a result of the experiences we’ve been exposed to, the pace of life, the persons we’ve been connected to, the lives we lead, the obligations we face, and some biological contributor.

People don't need to face their challenges or pain alone. Problems isolate people from friends, family, and life itself, and loneliness can last for an eternity. Therapy can help bring the person back into life and relationships with renewed peace and pleasure.
