Therapists » Clinical Social Work/Therapist
Sometimes difficult thoughts, feelings, and experiences take us away from the life we want to live. It may not seem clear how therapy can help. I provide a non-judgmental and secure space where, together, we can clarify your goals and develop a treatment plan. My approach to therapy is grounded in evidence-based clinical practices. Combining behavioral and mindfulness-based modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Exposure and Response Prevention, I help clients develop insight and take action in order to live engaged, meaningful lives. I have specialized training in the treatment of OCD, anxiety, and perinatal mental health and am a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Provider (PMH-C). In addition to my clinical work, I am an adjunct professor at the University of Tennessee College of Social Work and voluntary faculty in the Department of Psychiatry at Vanderbilt University. My first priority is creating an effective therapeutic relationship, rooted in compassion, in which your unique strengths are affirmed and supported. I offer a free phone consultation prior to starting therapy and welcome you to reach out to see if we are a good fit!
