Jen Patterson is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Licensed Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC), and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) who has been practicing since 2012. She graduated from Mount Mary College with a Masters in Counseling and a Post-Masters Certificate in Clinical Mental Health. Jen works with children, adolescents, adults and families. She addresses various diagnoses and mental health concerns, such as: mood disorders, anxiety and depression, parenting issues, ADHD, stress management, addictions, relationships, as well as trauma. She uses therapeutic techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Art Therapy, and Mindfulness. Jen's goal when working with clients is to improve their quality of life, empower clients to take control over their patterns of thoughts and behavior, and educate them in regards to their mental health. She understands the need for a holistic approach to treatment as clients live in a multifaceted world. When designing a treatment plan, Jen focuses on how the patient wants to benefit from therapy and cultivates techniques to help them achieve those objectives.
