Therapists » Clinical Social Work/Therapist
Hello! Are you looking to "get past your past" (to quote Francine Shapiro), and as a result, cope better overall with life? My specialty is helping people work through traumatic experiences, although I can also help with a wide range of other concerns. I graduated from University of Kansas School of Social Welfare in 2007, with a Masters in Social Work. Since then, I have worked with a wide range of populations in mental and behavioral health. I found my niche with EMDR, somatic strategies and parts work, all of which can potentially help you successfully work through past experiences to finally find closure and peace. I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy ("talk therapy"), Somatic & Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques, Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), and Family Systems perspective; all in combination to find the best intervention to help you get resolution and live your best life possible. As a therapist, my philosophy is rooted in a deep commitment to fostering healing and empowerment for clients. I believe in creating a safe and empathetic space where individuals can explore and process their past traumas, allowing them to integrate these experiences and move towards a more resilient and balanced future.
