About

Excellent psychotherapy offers a deep appreciation for an individual's thoughts, emotions and wishes. Within the framework of a safe and trusting therapy relationship, individuals can gain the understanding and skills needed to make changes toward a more fulfilling life. Regardless of what brings a person to therapy, good therapy facilitates an individual's inherent capacity for growth and resilience. In addition to teaching at the college level, I have worked as a clinical psychologist in college settings, private practice, and community health clinics.

My work is informed by a blend of deep listening and collaborative problem solving. My style is informed by attachment, psychodynamic, and affective experiential (AEDP) models with the aim of offering optimal support and facilitation of growth and change.

My clients have described me as warm, open, easy to talk with and respectful. I enjoy working with clients from a broad range of ethnic, international, professional and cultural backgrounds. My work includes a wide range of people including adults, college students, LGBTQ, heterosexual clients, and couples.
