Therapists » Clinical Social Work/Therapist
Hi there. I'm so glad you're here. Making the choice to begin therapy is a brave step toward being who you want to become. As a woman with late-diagnosed ADHD, I understand first hand how mental health impacts quality of life. Having someone hold space for you during difficult times in life is one way to grow through challenges so you can live a life with meaning and purpose. During our first session together, I will ask you things like: "What brought you to therapy?" "What are some of your most distressing symptoms?" "How long has this been happening?" And we’ll talk about your history including your childhood, education, relationships (family, romantic, friends), your current living situation and your career. Together we'll create a treatment plan that honors your unique needs because therapy is not a one size fits all approach. Neurodiversity-affirming therapy is not a set of interventions, but rather an overarching philosophy that guides our work together. I won’t shove you into a neurotypical box. I will honor your life experience and act as a guide.
