About

The clients who come to me are looking for more than someone to listen and nod. While being "heard" is an important component of counseling, clients experience the most growth when they are challenged to explore themselves and their relationships from more than surface level. I facilitate growth and change by identifying patterns. Do you wonder why you have patience for everyone except yourself or your partner? Do you find yourself getting triggered by seemingly insignificant interaction? Are you a perfectionist? People pleaser? Do you find that achievement of goals hasn't brought you the happiness that you thought it would?

My work is deep and soulful. There's a lot more to healing than just "changing your thoughts." If it were that easy, nobody would have any problems. Understanding attachment & gaining insight about your feelings and behavior is an important component of therapy. It's hard to communicate without arguing when you don't understand why you're getting triggered.

I'm very mindful that clients are trusting me with the most personal details of their lives. I understand that therapy is a commitment of your time and financial resources. I know that many people have been to therapy previously and felt disappointed. There's more to you than labels. I put my clients at ease so they can focus on what they need to work on.
