Therapists » Clinical Social Work/Therapist
Let’s face it. Our children are facing an ever-growing, chaotic world and are often ill equipped to deal with the challenges they are facing. As a parent are you feeling lost and unsure as to how to help? Does your teenager or young adult cringe when you as a parent mention seeing a therapist? Young people could care less about theory, modality, and technique. They need connection, empathy and trust in a “professional” if progress is to be made. Resistance to help? Great. This is my jam, it’s my passion. I have 20 years of experience as a therapist working almost exclusively with young adults, teenagers, and parents needing support. I work with people struggling with ADHD, processing difficulties, other learning disabilities, and correlated issues of self-esteem. I am comfortable and love helping families going through divorce or families looking to blend. My style is relational, genuine and empathetic, yet direct and honest. I prefer Vans and flat billed hats over collared shirts and dress shoes. As a therapist, my goal is to be on your side. Formal talk therapy with a psychoanalytic approach isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. If this sounds like you and/or your child please set up a free consultation with me.
