All of us need help at some time. My clients tell me they feel understood but not judged when they meet with me - and that their own understanding of themselves and their challenges grows. But I know that effective therapy work must go beyond being cared about and understood. I bring a commitment to helping people change problems in their lives. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral, Behavioral and Mindfulness-Based therapies. While I no longer specialize in it, I also have intensive training in DBT. I integrate these theoretical models as needed into the therapy, bringing myself and my orientation in Interpersonal and Self-Psychology into all the work that I do. I am an active participant in the therapy process, helping individuals find solutions to tough problems and relief from painful symptoms. Additionally, I have had a great deal of success assisting people in achieving their relationship goals.
