Therapists » Clinical Social Work/Therapist
Anxiety and difficulties with emotional regulation underlie many problems experienced by people of all ages. Some of these conditions are generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic attacks, depression and marital problems. I work with adults using mindfulness, cognitive behavioral, and dialectical behavioral therapies. These therapies are proven to be effective means of reducing anxiety and equipping my clients with skills that they will use the rest of their lives. These skills allow them to think more accurately, live mindfully and regulate emotions leading to reduced stress and healthier interpersonal relationships. Relationships and marriage- Rather than work with a couple, I effectively work with women to improve emotional regulation, communication during conflict, see anger in a new way, boundries, think accurately and heal from past issues in order to show up as their best in all relationships and marriage. I use Gottman in addition to my above mentioned repertoire. I have always had an interest in health and nutrition. My bachelor's degree in Dietetics and Wellness Coach certification give me additional tools to use with clients who wish to manage their weight through improved emotional regulation and identifying triggers for over eating and road blocks to weight maintenance.
