Therapists » Clinical Social Work/Therapist
The insight, understanding and perspectives that can be gained through therapy can be invaluable to our sense of well being, personal autonomy, and fulfillment.Although I have a generalist clinical practice--meaning I work with men and women who come to treatment for a variety of reasons---I have a special interest in treatment issues related to depression, loss, grief, life cycle transitions, and women's mental health. Other areas of interest include: diminished self esteem, abuse--sexual, physical and emotional, alcohol abuse, and issues related to individuals living with a terminally ill family member. Although I enjoy working with both men and women, my graduate training at Smith College, a women's institution, has informed my work and interest in women's psychological health and well-being. I have over twenty years in the mental health field--both in practice and teaching. Along with my psychotherapy practice, I also hold clinical faculty positions in both the MSW and Ph.D. Programs at Smith College . I mentor and supervise other mental health professionals in individual and group settings.
