About

If you are feeling stuck and uncertain how to make changes therapy can help. I work with adults and adolescents to overcome doubt, change unhealthy patterns, improve relationships, and find healthy ways to cope. For some that means approaching the things they avoid, taking down emotional walls, changing their substance use, gaming/internet use, or other unhealthy behaviors. I specialize in anxiety and mood issues, substance use, addictive behaviors, and men's issues. The practice website provides additional info about my experience and approach. If you would like to connect to help determine fit, I offer a free phone consultation . View 6 Photos

My clients describe me as caring, thoughtful, warm, as well as pragmatic and straight-forward. My approach includes a focus on strategies to improve functioning (CBT, ACT, etc.) while also working towards more transformative growth and change. I respect clients' personal values and I am sensitive to diversity and identity in all dimensions.

The first step can be difficulty! Many people consider therapy many times before starting or restarting after a poor match. If you are feeling uncertain or hope to hold on just a little longer on your own, then you are like most people. Doubt is normal, discomfort with starting therapy is common. My clients often wish they had pushed through it sooner.
