About

Throughout life we can experience challenges within our selves and our relationships. We can find ourselves feeling confused, stuck, unhappy, or unsatisfied. We might notice changes in our moods or behaviors, or feel more affected by stressors than at previous times in our lives. I specialize in adult psychotherapy, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and self-esteem issues. Other specialty areas include challenges in navigating life transitions, relationships, and identity development.

Through a supportive insight- and relationally-oriented approach, my goal is to help my clients identify both strengths and challenges in their lives and increase their understanding of themselves and others to move towards improved mood, functioning, relating, growth, and an overall positive and solid self-concept.

My approach to therapy is twofold: To establish a trusting relationship in which strategies for short term relief can be learned and to increase self understanding to address roots of current difficulties and prevent future dIstress. Our therapeutic work can provide a supportive space in which to work through some of life’s most personal challenges.
