About

These are hard to write without sounding cringy (sorry!) Janessa’s education and training has equipped her to treat individuals with a wide range of experiences including depression, anxiety, PTSD, sexual assault, divorce, religious trauma, and major life transitions. Her current clientele includes individuals ranging from late adolescence to retirement age. Janessa is passionate about carefully deconstructing harmful narratives that we adopt through life's experiences and integrating a healed concept of self. She is passionate about working through anxiety and depression that often comes as a result of life transitions. View 4 Photos

Janessa takes a person-centered approach that encourages collaboration and trust. Her specializations involve narrative therapy, which allows for the client to claim autonomy over their life by identifying stories that clients adopt about who they are and how they fit into the world, then rewriting them to feel more congruent and authentic.

My ultimate goal is to cultivate enough trust with yourself through healthy habits, new narratives, and a commitment to live in line with your values that you can live confidently outside of therapy at some point. Therapy is one tool among many that can contribute to healing and I'm happy to provide that. Wishing you wellness wherever you are!
