The marks pregnancy leaves on your body can feel like nothing compared to the marks it leaves on your soul – the permanent reminder of the shift in your identity. Welcome to motherhood - the most intense and beautiful journey you’ll ever undertake. Except sometimes it doesn’t feel beautiful or happy or any of that at all. “Why am I failing at this?” “Is the baby still breathing? What happens if she stops breathing?” “When will he stop needing me so much? Wait, does that make me a bad mom?” “Everyone says it will get better. When? What if it doesn’t?” “Good moms have scary thoughts” is something that is rarely talked about. And few can understand the crazy shift in moods you can experience after having a new baby, whether it’s your first baby or your seventh. I’m sure you’ve heard of postpartum depression, but postpartum anxiety or rage? What about depression during pregnancy? Or birth trauma? I specialize in postpartum mood disorders and trauma, and I can help you make sense of your thoughts and sort through them. Together we will wade through the waves of intense emotions. I can teach you the tools to discern what thoughts to listen to, what thoughts to let go of, letting you actually enjoy some of those baby moments and create yourself anew.
