Most folks who find their way to me are incredibly hard workers. They’ve survived by striving to manage their emotions, overcome their fears, and hold back problematic impulses. By the time they meet me, they may be exhausted, or they may be so entrenched in the endless struggle to feel well that it just feels normal. But they’re stuck because the level of effort is not sustainable, and they need something else. They need a soft place to land. To slow down and be present. To listen and feel heard. To heal, so that wellness blooms naturally rather than as a constant project. To facilitate true change, we go to the level of the body and work with what we find. Often traumas are trapped like old wounds, held by parts of ourselves that are aching to be heard and witnessed, to be relieved of their pain. I use a gentle, somatic-informed Internal Family Systems approach to guide clients to befriend themselves and relearn trust. Therapy is ultimately a journey of the self. I will be your guide as you move towards a deeper, more compassionate relationship with yourself and find the freedom to be your truest self. Most clients who come to therapy find it daunting to come in but so relieving and nourishing once there. Take the first step and give me a call for a free consultation.
